I was able to incorporate standards 1 and 2 into project by making students be innovative by creating a virtual world and by putting them in groups to do the project.
Instructional modifications for disabilities such as IEP, 504, ELL have been addressed. Such as grade modification, extended due dates, instructional help guide. All of these sections will be provided.
My students should show higher order thinking skills (critical and creative thinking and problem solving abilities) and metacognition skills throughout the process. Higher order thinking will take place when developing their virtual world and during the compare and contrast phase of the papers they have written. By doing this I am challenging the students not only to remember information but to apply it directly towards others, themselves, and together in a group to problem solve. So they can reach an understanding of teamwork, analytical thinking, and building skills.
